Rule 2 - Photocomposition
The photocomposition of your website is very important, think about how you can achieve your aims, because while somebody visits your page, he’ll definitely look at it.
The choice of the used colours depends again on what you’re trying to achieve. If you have a logo, you will use the colours of your logo. Keep in mind that 3-5 colours are enough, because otherwise a completely colourful website will confuse your visitor.
If you don’t have a logo, get some information about the different meanings of certain colours (e.g. green stands for hope) and then compare again with your aims.
After that, think about the general appearance of your website. Where do I position my navigation menu in order to make it easy accessible? What kind of menu do I want to use? Shall is separate my menu from the rest of the page with colours? Shall I use frames? These are only some of the questions you should ask yourself. Before you start to build your site, make a draft in your photo editor.
After you have thought so much about your site, unfortunately we still cannot start building it. Regard Rule 3-4
